NCR June & Winner of Grill ...
It's June, Summer should be here and the weather reports are tempting us with 21c tomorrow and 23c on Friday, but this is Scotland, so we will wait and see. I am off work tomorrow so cross your fingers for me.With all this lovely weather in the offing I thought a perfect challenge for June would be to grill or roast some of our ingredients for a vegetarian soup or salad. For those of you in colder climes, you can think of a heartier dish.
Post your soup or salad and email me by the 20th of June 2011 to nocroutonsrequired@googlemail.com

I can't wait to see what you all come up with and try a few of them.
I would also like to congratulate La Caggerttiera Rosa, who won May's edition of NCR with her beautiful presented Asparagus Cappuccino with Cinnamon Air. I think I can safely say we were all very impressed and longing to try it. A big thanks also to my good friend Lisa for another great round-up.Now on to the winner of the George Foreman Family Grill. As usual my wee independent adjudicator helped out by pulling out a winner. There was a bumper load of entries this time, so I had to give them a good old shuffle in a bowl before tipping them into Cooper's wee denim hat. He was right on the case and knew just what to do. In fact I had to get the shots really quickly as he didn't pause.

Congratulations Sugergran I do hope you enjoy your grill. Email me your details and I will have it sent out to you.
I have also re-started the challenge - Bookmarked Recipes with the blessing of Ruth. If you would like to join in and try out one of the many bookmarked recipes I am sure you have collected, just use the linky on this post to add your entry. I am giving Linky a wee try. I am not sure if it is for me so I may also do a roundup. It is a visual linky, so should be quite good. Anyway, get your recipes in by the 24th of June and the only stipulation is that they be veggie friendly. You may offer veggie substitutes for an ingredient or two, but please make the main ingredients veggie.
I hope to get The Food Blog Diary updated today sometime, so do visit to find out about these and other challenges for the month. Remember to visit regularly as the diary is constantly updated with new giveaways, competitions and challenges.
Sounds great and I will be taking you up on your challenge young lady!
