No Croutons Required - June 2012
I completely forgot about No Croutons Required. Which means I also forgot about The Food Blog Diary. Whoops!
So much for my schedule. I am going on holiday next week, so I made myself a schedule for posts, just to be organised. I have my parents over to visit and whoosh, it goes out the window. Luckily I was over at the Chocolate Log Blog this morning and Choclette mentioned the new We Should Cocoa challenge for June was up and running, or I would have been none the wiser. Thanks for the memory jog Choclette.
So back to business! For June NCR I would like you to submit a Leafless Salad. It can be warm or cold. Think vegetables. Think salad ingredients. Think grains. Think pulses. Think dressings. Just leave out the salad leaves.
I really look forward to seeing the dishes you come up with. As usual they must be suitable for vegetarians, but unusually, I am asking you to add them to a linky, rather than emailing them to me. You will find the linky at the end of this post. Do remember to mention the challenge in your post and link back here. You may also use the logo. You can find full details here. Tweet

DeleteI hate salads full of leaves so I usually make the sort of salads that are substantial enough not to need leaves - already have some ideas - if I can make it before we eat up our almond feta!

ReplyDeleteHi Jac, I've just posted an entry to the NCR challenge....I think it's worked? It's a Warm Halloumi, Lentil and Tomato Salad!
ReplyDeleteoh poo. I thought I was still in time for this linky - I made this lush lentil and asparagus salad yesterday - wasn't sure if it counted as it used watercress, but whizzed up to make the dressing. here's thelink if you're interested:
