Thick White Chocolate Easter Egg? Yes Please!

Easter eggs are such a treat, aren't they? The secret is not to over indulge, but to go for one really good quality Easter egg.

My egg this year is a sumptuously thick white chocolate egg from Hotel Chocolat.

An extra thick white chocolate egg, each half completely filled with white chocolate fried eggs and dippy toast, white chocolate pralines, vanilla truffles and the most heavenly strawberry truffles. I actually moaned aloud when I bit into the strawberry truffle.

White chocolate can be sickly sweet, but this white chocolate isn't. It's sweet, but it's the milky creaminess and the vanilla that shines through. Divine!

Head over and have a look at their Easter collection, there's something for everyone, with prices ranging from £1.95 to the most expensive treat they offer, the Classic Ostrich Easter Egg coming in at £70. It's huge and a whopping 1.1kg. Filled with 21 of their most luxurious chocolates.

My white egg came in at £27, but I also noticed they sell the strawberry truffles in a box on their own. A box of 6 costs just £3.50, so I think I'll be buying some of those very soon.

If you miss out on these Easter treats, head over after Easter and look out for their sale. Chocolate isn't just for Easter after all!

Disclosure: Hotel Chocolat sent me an egg to review. I was not required to write a positive review and any opinions expressed are my own.

  1. I can't believe how thick that egg is! I want it!

  2. Save some for me!

  3. I never go into town these days (stupid tram works) but I recently found out we have a hotel chocolat. May have yo call in after Easter and pick up an eight bargain! Have a great Easter with your family. Roll an egg for me!
