Yoghurt Maker Giveaway

Ever fancied making your own yoghurt? I've been having a go with this Easio Yoghurt Maker from Yoghurt Direct and it's really simple to use. A great way to eat really fresh & healthy yoghurt.

All you do is:

1. Mix the sachet contents with cold water in the 1kg jar (with the red lid) and shake thoroughly.
2. Pour boiling water to the line marked inside the yogurt maker and place the jar inside.
3. Place the lid on and leave 6-8 hours to set, then refrigerate.
4. Voila! Now just decant the yoghurt into a large tub and pop in the fridge.

Once you've made your yoghurt, you can fruit it up with some of the EasiYo fruit sachets, leave it plain or add some fresh fruit. The choice is yours.

The yoghurt is actually lovely plain and great with a swirl of honey too.

  6. I like plain greek style yogurt with fresh fruit. Never buy flavoured ones as there is far to much added sugar for my taste

  7. Hi Jac, I can't enter as I am not in the UK but I have to attest to the EasiYo. I have one and am a total convert! Because we're living in Timor and it's hard to come by dairy here, I bought one in Australia and now if people come to visit me they know they have to bring EasiYo sachets. The yoghurt is thick and creamy and very tasty, and over I got over the 'unnaturalness' of the powdered milk (after all, it is natural, just dehydrated), I am really happy with the product. And did you know that the strawberry flavour, which is pink, is even coloured naturally with beetroot? I have also used the maker to make my own yoghurt using previous yoghurt as a starter and just adding milk. Anyway, enough of a blather from me!

  8. wow, it sounds too simple! We're greek yoghurt fans here and as a student I used to love stirring jelly tots into it! Now I'm more tooth conscious and opt for raisins for fruit and E will eat just about anything a yoghurt spoon has been shaken at

  17. Plain yog is my fav - it is so versatile - great on it's own but yummy with curry or used to make a low fat hummous.
