that sounds like a challenge indeed - my first thought is that I would just get a can of soup from my storecupboard but will think about this one
ReplyDeleteGreat frugal challenge! I will peruse my cupboards pronto and defy my kids who say there's "nothing" to eat in the house. Hah!
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I know I need to take care of some items in the cupboard.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner last month. This month is a real challenge but wide open since all of our cupboards would contain different things.
ReplyDeleteFor one who grows some of her own vegetable, I am embarrased to admit that I do have a tin of callaloo - a Jamaican spinach that has been sitting in my storecupboard for a long while and it is now nearing it's sell by date. So rather than throwing it out,I will be making sure I make the most of it. Hey I mean even put it forward for this challenge.

I do this quite often for my lunch ... and it's been ages since I submitted something so I'll really try this month :) Definitely a fun challenge - I bet there'll be more soups than salads.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds perfect. I'm hoping I'll be able to join in this time. :)
ReplyDeleteI love your theme for this challenge! Can't wait to see what people come up with.
ReplyDeleteLovely theme, lets see if i can make something..
ReplyDeleteI don't believe for a minute you would do that Johanna, especially with all the lovely homemade stock in your freezer. I must get around to following your example :)
ReplyDeleteYou show them Rachel :)
Hey TB, a perfect excuse to clear out those cupboards then :)
Hi Val, Yeah, I am hoping there will be a real variety in the entries this month :)
I expect to see that spinach featuring in your soup or salad Mangocheeks ;)
I think you are right there Rachel, it is definitely soup weather for a lot of us now, so back to the store cupbopards :)
I look forward to seeing what you come up with Aparna :)
Me too Ashley, me too!
I do hope you join in Neha :)
It was time for me to clean the cupboard and the theme fit in perfectly with my situation :)
ReplyDeleteI have sent you my entry to this event.
