I've had my share of lipsmackingly good chocolates from Hotel Chocolat. but I can honestly say they have surpassed themselves with this box.
When I am passed a box of chocolates, what I immediately look for are the fruit chocolates. You can be lucky to find a couple, but in this box there is a superior collection.
Sealed with a Kiss has the Strawberry Swoon, a soft white chocolate truffle with a tangy strawberry flavour. Then there's the Lemon Berry Tart, which is also creamy white chocolate truffle, but this time with zingy lemon and red berries. The Zesty Orange Mousse is a whipped milk chocolate mousse with zingy Valencia orange. Not to forget the Black Cherry Truffle and the Blueberry Truffle. Mmmmmmmm!
The whole shebang is a luxurious package that would thrill anyone lucky enough to receive one. A beautiful heart shaped white box, embossed with a peacock feather. Slide open the lid to find the tempting menu, then lift out the crinkly black top layer and underneath you find a whisper of cellophane, printed with the Hotel Chocolat logo and all the romantic chocolates peeping through. I swear my heart started to race at this point.
These are not for sharing!!!
Disclosure: Hotel Chocolat sent me this box of chocolates to review, I was not expected to write a positive review and any opinions I expressed are my own.

They do look lovely and I like the white box rather than the usual red which everyone else seems to use.
ReplyDeleteThe box is a bit special and far more classy than a red box.
DeleteI am a huge HC fan, great quality and exciting flavours. I also really like their engaged ethics approach.
ReplyDeleteI had this box last year I think, was delicious.
I am really enjoying it Helen. Just the right box for me.
