It's National Vegetarian Week here in the UK and what better time to celebrate the best vegetarian and vegan food bloggers.
Yesterday I talked about my Top 7 Vegetarian Food Bloggers and today I would like to introduce you to some of my favourite vegan food bloggers.
This post is dedicated to my lovely hubby (well lovely when he isn't being grumpy, especially in the mornings), who became vegan last year.
I am so proud of him. He made the decision, stuck with it and never wavered. He doesn't ever try to make Cooper and I feel bad for still eating dairy either. For that I love him even more.
1. Fat Free Vegan Kitchen

I defy you to go there and not drool over the food. Forget it being vegan. Susan's food is what you will want to eat. Yes you! Just look at it!
Susan became a vegetarian in 1988, at about the same time as me, but 6 years later she decided to eliminate dairy from her diet too. She also made the decision to try and cook fat free too and the weight just dropped off her. She says some has piled back on, but I think she looks pretty gorgeous!
Susan lives in Mississippi with her husband and teenage daughter.

Ricki is college teacher who also teaches cookery classes and writes cookbooks alongside her blog. Yes, I know, how does she fit it all in. She also always makes time for other bloggers too as well as her readers.
Ricki eats and cooks a vegan diet but she also cooks and bakes sugar-free, gluten-free, allergy-friendly. She is one top gal all around!

3. Andrea's Easy Vegan Cooking

After a shoulder injury made it too painful for Andrea to cook, her husband took over in the kitchen, but Andrea's interest never waned. She poured over cookbooks and magazines and eventually she got back into the kitchen.
Andrea cooks comfort food for her extended family and takes her grandchildren into the kitchen to cook and bake now too.
Somehow Andrea managed to delete all the photos on her blog, but she's a fighter and were the lesser among us would have given up in defeat, Andrea is working her way through and adding new photos. She has brought a good few years up to date now.

Thanks Jac, in the last two days my list of blogs to follow just got even longer! I love reading blogs with a coffee after breakfast so it's fortunate I have retired or I would be late for work. You have mentioned some of your veggie and vegan blogs so to balance things I would like to say that your blog is one of my favourites.
ReplyDeleteThanks Marie, that was really kind of you. I will now always imagine you sitting at the computer with a coffee, leisurely looking at blogs.
DeleteNice a list with new bloggers and new vegan recipes to try. :)
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe I missed you off the list Janet. My only excuse is blogging too late at night. Honestly!!!
DeleteNice to see some familiar faces in the list and also some new bloggers to visit. I think vegan mofo has been a great way for me to find new vegan bloggers and many blogs I follow are vegan or have an interest in vegan food. It is great to feature vegan blogs for national veg week and I second marie in saying that your blog is a favourite.
ReplyDeleteThanks Johanna :)
DeleteSo much great info here! Of course I already follow those others, too. :) And thank you so much for including my blog in this illustrious list--totally honored! :D And kudos to your hubby (and all of you!) xo
ReplyDeleteThanks to you too Ricki :)
DeleteThank you Jac, for including me with such esteemed bloggers as Ricki and Susan. I'm always amazed and impressed by my fellow bloggers, including yourself, of course!
ReplyDeleteWhile the recipe for the paté is indeed mine, the recipe for the cookies is from "Chloe's Vegan Desserts," the latest cookbook by Chloe Coscarelli. I made them and photographed them and they were amazing, but the recipe credit belongs to Chloe.
Hi Andrea, I am sure people will notice when they visit the post. Thanks for letting me use your photos :)
DeleteWhat a fab list of veggie and vegan blogs - I am a lapsed veggie and I am really looking forward to reading my way through these blogs. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI know you will enjoy them Lorna :)

ReplyDeleteSome wonderful Blogs there.
ReplyDeleteI'm off for a proper look over yet another cup of coffee, it's all your fault that the greenhouse lies vacant until well after 10am these days, while I sit reading wonderful blogs and drooling over YOUR wonderful recipes :-)
I agree with Marie, it's a good job I don't have to go out to work, I'd be late everyday!
Hehe, just as well then Sue. Glad you are enjoying reading :)
