6 Piece Addis Lunchbox Giveaway

Children in Scotland head back to school this week and their friends down in England head back in a few weeks too, so it's time to think about packed lunches and what to put in your lunch box. It's time to plan!

Of course packed lunches aren't just for children and adults too need some inspiration too.

Meal planning

I did a poll in Instagram stories (follow me on instagram for a peek into my daily life) today and 50% of people who took part said they don't meal plan for the week.

I have to hold my hands up and say I am usually one of them although I am getting better at planning lunches.

New term

Cooper is all ready and rather excited about heading back to school. His new clothes are ironed, labelled and ready in his wardrobe. He didn't want a new school bag, gym bag or pencil case, as he likes the ones he has, bless him. He's had his hair cut at his cool dude barber and now it's time to think about his lunches for the week ahead.

I'm determinded to be more organise this term and I've challenged myself to plan on a Sunday for the week ahead both our lunches and dinners. It should cut down on stress and save us money

The right lunchboxes

Part of being organised for lunches is having the right lunchboxes for your sandwiches, wraps, salads and nibbles and Addis have kindly offered one lucky reader a set of six different lunchboxes worth nearly £30.

  5. I try to meal plan. I'm not very good at doing it too far in advance, though, but try to at least meal plan the day before rather than eating on the hop with no prior thought to what I'll be eating.

  7. We meal plan in as much as we make a shopping list but don't have a weekly/monthly menu. We have a repertoire of meals but never know what we are having each day until we decide what to take out of the freezer the night before. All meat and veg etc are frozen as we only shop once a month.

  21. Sometimes I meal plan but it always goes wrong. We have awkward meal times as my partner comes home from work and has managed to eat his lunch late so he doesn't fancy anything. Then my son ends up texting me to say he'll be going out straight from work so not to do him any dinner. So because of this I find it's always handy to have meals made up in the freezer, something that they can quickly heat up.
