I'm in love!

I have a brand new toy.

It's an Optimum 9400 blender from Froothie. A new blender means a new smoothie. So I created this Pink Pineapple Smoothie.

No, I haven't discovered a new fruit, the main ingredient is pineapple, but the smoothie comes out a glorious pink.

So what do you want to know what else my beautiful new toy can do?

So far I've made smoothies, pesto, hummus, pizza dough, pizza sauce, soup and lime curd all made in minutes, sometimes just seconds.

What else can it do:
  • chop vegetables in seconds
  • crush ice
  • make shakes
  • make sauces
  • make dips
  • whizz up dressings
  • grind nuts into flour
  • grate cheese
  • grind coffee beans
  • whip cream in 10 seconds
  • turn nuts into dairy free milk
  • make slushies
  • make cocktails
  • make chocolate mousse
  • make sorbet
  • make ice cream
  • knead bread dough
  • make frothy vegetable omelettes
  • make custard
  • lots more .........

It's much cheaper than a Vitamix too and comes in at £329. That may seem a lot, but after using cheaper blenders I can honestly say they are a false economy. They just don't have the powerful motors, can't do half of what you want them to do and will burn out quickly.

A blender like this also heats and lightly cooks food, so you have an all in one machine with a 10 year extended warranty. It's well worth the price, more powerful than the Vitamix and much cheaper.

Have I got to one of the best bits yet? Did I tell you it's self cleaning? Just add some boiling water and a drop of dish washing liquid, then whizz at full for a few seconds, then rinse under the tap. Voila!

Oh and it blends rocks. I know mad right? If you have a look at the website you will see them blending rocks in it.

I love it! It's a handsome beast too, so I leave it out on my counter top.
