A comforting breakfast smoothie that will see you through until lunchtime. With the flavours of banana and manuka honey
Morning Smoothies
I love my smoothies and try to make them every morning, although sometimes time gets away from me and we have to shoot out the door before I have time to whizz one up.
I generally make green smoothies as I like to get extra greens into our diet, but I've been craving a comfort breakfast smoothie all week. I think it's the dark mornings and the cooling temperatures.

Manuka Honey

If you haven't tried Manuka Honey, you really should. It's said to have a lot of health benefits. It's high in anti-oxidants and has anti-bacterial properties.
Rowse have started a campaign for Real Manuka, as often honey labelled in the UK as Manuka doesn't reach the correct standards. The UK don't state how much MGO Manuka Honey has to have to be called Manuka and as this is the active ingredient, so it's rather important.
So Rowse have pledged that:
- Rowse NPA Manuka Honey is guaranteed 100% pure and authentic.
- All Rowse Manuka Honey is tested twice for its authenticity; at source in New Zealand and again on arrival in the UK.
- By testing it twice Rowse ensures that customers are getting the real deal every time.
- Rowse Honey is committed to ensuring consumers get value for money and to protect the authenticity of this much loved product.

- 2 tsp Rowse Manuka Honey (or agave nectar)

- 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt (or dairy free yoghurt)
- 400ml milk (or nut milk)
- a generous pinch of ground ginger
Instructions
1. Add all the ingredients and whizz until smooth.2. Ice is optional. I find the milk chills the drink enough, but you may add ice. Don't add it your blender, unless you have a power blender like mine, you'll just burn out the motor.3. Pour and enjoy!
