I love a good homemade veggie burger.
They're in a world of their own and live on a different planet from the cardboard discs found in supermarkets.
I've put together a montage of some of the most droolworthy veggie and vegan burgers around the web for you to try with my smutty sweet chilli jam.
Tuck in!
My Top 10 Veggie and Vegan Burgers from around the Web

1. Curried Veggie Burgers
by A Pinch of Yum
Lentil, chickpea and rice burgers, spiced with curry powder and topped with chopped mango, fresh coriander (cilantro) and a drizzle of plain yoghurt all inside a bun. So, so good!
(vegetarian and vegan (omit the yoghurt dressing for a vegan burger)
2. Easy Chickpea and Coriander Patties
by Tinned Tomatoes
These simple chickpea burgers are whizzed up in a food processor with spices, then shaped by hand before cooking. Simples!

3. Smokey BBQ Lentil Veggie Burger with Mango Carrot Slaw
by Vegan Richa
The most amazing lentil burger filled with spices and seeds, then topped with mango carrot slaw and salad. Slurp!!

4. Crispy Eggplant Sandwiches with Roasted Garlic Ricotta Spread
by Katie at the Kitchen Door
These aren't veggie burgers in the strictest sense of the word, but you are going to crave them. Crispy breadcrumbed slices of succulcent aubergine (eggplant), stacked in a bun with rocket (arugula), tomato sauce and homemade ricotta. Oh my!

5.Roasted Beet-Tofu Burgers
by FatFree Vegan
I've featured these before in my Top 10 BBQ Veggie Burgers post over at Baby Centre, but they are so good they are worth another plug. Spiced beetroot and tofu burgers on salad leaves, topped with a glorious chipotle aioli and a slice of ripe tomato.

6. Kale and Cheddar Bubble & Squeak
by Tinned Tomatoes
Bubble and squeak is traditionally made from leftover cabbage and potatoes, but I made my patties with cabbage, potato, kale, sweetcorn and cheddar. Make your own with any leftover vegetables from dinner, but do try these, they are exceptionally good.

7. Black Rice and Mushroom Burgers
by The Gouda Life
These superb burgers are made from mushrooms, carrots, rice and a Turkish spice blend. Topped with radishes, pea sprouts, avocado and a cucumber and garlic yoghurt sauce. I may dream about this one tonight!

8. Walnut-Mushroom Veggie Burgers
by Love and Lemons
Jeanine made her own miso-walnut paste and added it to these mini mushroom slider burgers to elevate them to something rather special. She also spiced up the ketchup she served them with, which is a great tip.

9. Cajun Spiced Black Bean and Sweet Potato Burgers
by Tinned Tomatoes
These are our favourite homemade burgers. I love them because they are so simple, you just throw the mashed potato and black beans in a bowl with the spices and give them a good mix, then shape them into balls. The kick of cajun spice in these burgers gives them a wonderful flavour. I like to serve them on a poppy seed bun, spread with mustard, then a layer of baby spinach, followed by the burger and topped with slices of ripe, creamy avocado.

10. Spinach Feta Veggie Burgers
by Bakeaholic Mama
Chickpeas, sauteed onions, bell peppers, spinach, and feta cheese come together to make this fantastic burger. Topped with fresh spinach, roasted tomatoes and crispy onions. This one is on my make-soon list.
